Are you suffering from a sore throat, crow’s feet, ear infection, or smile lines? A new walk-in clinic in Ankeny can see to all of those ailments in a single visit.
Ankeny Walk-In Clinic, located at 225 SE Oralabor Road, Suite 3, was opened in March of this year by board-certified Family Medicine physician Dr. Michael Luft with the mission to provide medical care for non-life threatening illnesses and injuries. While the medical treatment side of the clinic continues to grow, the clinic has recently expanded their offerings to include a variety of aesthetic and clinical services.
“From our physician-guided, prescription-based weight loss program, to Latisse (a treatment used to enhance eyelashes), Botox, and skin care products from Obagi, we definitely have a lot to offer,” said Sara Luft. Luft, who is a Creighton University graduate and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, heads up the Ankeny Walk-In Clinic’s staff of nurse practitioners. “If a patient is considering having some work done, the options might seem overwhelming,” said Luft. “We understand, and we’re here to help figure out what will work best for our patients.”
In addition to Botox and Kybella (a prescription medical treatment used in adults to reduce “double chin”), Ankeny Walk-In Clinic will eventually offer chemical peels and a line of popular dermal fillers from Juvéderm, including Volbella, Vollure, and Voluma.
The new clinic currently provides medical treatment for colds and flu, sore throat, ear and sinus infections, cuts, bumps, sprains, strains, and more. Ankeny Walk-in Clinic also offers services for sports and employment physicals, screenings and routine blood tests, as well as flu shots and basic immunizations, in addition to their growing repertoire of aesthetic services.
